Hello! I’m Essence—the heart and founder behind Aligned by Essence. For most of my life, I was the spontaneous, impulsive type—always chasing the next thing but never truly feeling fulfilled. I didn’t see a career path that spoke to me, so I followed the money, not the meaning. And despite the milestones—a seven-year career in the Navy, becoming a mom, earning my MBA from NYU Stern—I still felt lost. Disconnected. Discontent.

I left the Navy during COVID because I couldn’t imagine being away from my newborn. I stepped into corporate accounting, but it never felt right. Deep down, I knew my purpose was bigger than a desk job. I just didn’t know where to start—until I detached from the noise of life to rediscover who I really was.

That journey led me here.

I turned my pain into purpose and rewrote my story. Now, I help others do the same—aligning with their values, purpose, and calling so they can build careers and lives that feel authentic, fulfilling, and true to who they are.

Because fulfillment isn’t found in a title or a paycheck. It’s found in alignment.
