Hi, I'm Essence.

For a long time, I was living in survival mode.

From the outside, it looked like I was doing everything right. I served seven years in the Navy, became a mother, earned my MBA from NYU Stern, and continued chasing the next milestone. But no matter what I accomplished, I felt drained. Lost. Disconnected from myself.

Survival mode taught me how to keep going, but it didn't teach me how to live.

I found myself making decisions from fear instead of purpose. I was carrying unhealed wounds that showed up in every area of my life. They affected my confidence, my self-worth, my relationships, and the way I viewed the world. I was exhausted from constantly pouring from an empty cup while pretending I was okay.

Everything changed when I made the decision to heal.

Healing wasn't easy. It required accountability, self-reflection, uncomfortable conversations, and learning how to let go of versions of myself that no longer served me. There were days I wanted to quit. Days I questioned whether the work was worth it.

But it was.

Healing transformed the way I think, love, lead, and show up in the world. It changed my relationships. It changed how I viewed challenges. It changed the future I believed was possible for myself.

Most importantly, it helped me become the woman I was always meant to be.

That journey is what led me to create Aligned by Essence.

Today, my mission is to help women who are exhausted from surviving finally begin living. Women who feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or lost in who they've become. Women who know they're meant for more but aren't sure how to get there.

I won't tell you healing is easy. It's one of the hardest journeys you'll ever take.

But I will tell you this: it's worth it.

Because on the other side of healing is freedom. Clarity. Purpose. Peace. And a version of yourself you've been waiting to meet.

You don't have to stay in survival mode.

You deserve to heal, transform, and align with the life you were created to live.
